FLEET PhD Write-Up Scholarship
In an acknowledgement of the impact the Covid-19 pandemic has had on the progress of our PhD students, FLEET is offering “write-up scholarships” for up to 3 months for students affected by the restrictions imposed in response to Covid-19. The purpose of these scholarships is to help support students to continue writing-up papers and/or finishing projects related to FLEET goals after submitting their PhD and waiting for examiners.
The scholarship will be paid at 50% of the RTPS rate from the central fund, with the expectation that the supervisor will contribute the other 50%. Applications will be assessed monthly against the following criteria: impact of Covid-19 restrictions, research is related to FLEET goals, support of supervisor. Applications received before the 20th of each month will be assessed and informed of their outcomes before the month ends. Special consideration of assessment time will be given to members who have already submitted their theses.
All FLEET PhD students close (within 2 months) to submitting their thesis are eligible to apply. Applications are considered monthly by the Equity & Diversity Committee and will be accepted through to May 2024. Please contact coo@fleet.org.au for any further queries regarding this grant.
