Women in FLEET Scholarships

The Women in FLEET Honours and PhD top-up scholarships aim to attract high performing female students to study with FLEET. Scholarships are open to students who identify as female and are accepted into an Honours or PhD program to work with one of FLEET’s investigators.

Honours scholarship

• A maximum of $5,000 can be offered to outstanding students
• 50% of the scholarship amount is contributed by the FLEET Equity & Diversity fund.

PhD Top-up scholarship

• A maximum of $10,000 per annum can be offered to an outstanding PhD candidate with first-class Honours or equivalent
• A maximum of 3 years or until the end of the financial year 2024, whichever comes first
• Must be awarded another scholarship, or pending successful scholarship application to cover tuition fees and stipend
• 100% of the top-up scholarship is contributed by the FLEET Equity & Diversity fund.

PhD partial-stipend scholarship

• A maximum of $15,000 per annum can be offered as a partial stipend scholarship to an outstanding PhD candidate with first-class Honours or equivalent
• 100% of the partial stipend scholarship is contributed by the FLEET Equity & Diversity fund, with matching funds for the remainder of the stipend to be provided from other sources.
