UNSW: Theoretical condensed matter physics – quantum transport

We seek a postdoctoral research associate to perform independent research on theoretical condensed matter physics. Focus of the work will be quantum transport, topological materials, spintronics, electron-electron interactions. This Level A Academic position will be supervised by Prof Oleg Sushkov at UNSW Sydney.

What we are looking for:

  • The incumbent should possess a completed PhD degree, or a substantial progress towards a PhD degree, in Physics or related fields in Physics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current problems in theoretical condensed matter physics
  • Demonstrated experience in quantum transport, topological materials, spintronics, and electron-electron interactions is desirable
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver high quality project outcomes in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated programming/computing skills in a Unix/Linux environment.
