RMIT: Development & synthesis of novel atomically thin materials

Application closes 12 July 2017

We are seeking a research fellow to investigate various topological materials and 2D magnetic materials, establishing various vdW magnetic and topological heterostructures to realise quantum anomalous Hall systems and vdW spintronic systems, creating ferromagnetic Weyl semi-metal structures. This Level A Academic position will be supervised by A/Prof. Lan Wang at RMIT School of Physics based in Melbourne. We are looking for:

  • Strong research track record in micro/nano materials and device fabrication processes as well as material characterisations
  • Good knowledge regarding the physics of low dimensional materials
  • Demonstrated ability to experimentally realise and characterise electronic, optical, chemical properties of functional materials
  • Proven ability to undertake scientific research and development in research programs.
